David Beck, a founding father of the city of Chattanooga, moved from Pennsylvania to Rhea County Tennessee in 1810.
He came to Riverview in 1822, established a home and had 10 children. He owned Riverview, Dallas Heights, and most of north Chattanooga. His wife Sarah Hunter Beck age 108 and three of his children are buried in Alabama.

NOTE: Sarah moved to Cherokee County, Alabama. She is buried in Sand Rock UMC Cemetery.
